FAQs

Can I buy a digital pattern?

Most of our kits are also available as digital patterns. If you can't find what you're after, please do get in touch!

Can I buy a completed piece?

Unfortunately, we are unable to sell finished pieces. One sample of each pattern is made for photography purposes and these need to be kept for publicity.

Do you accept commissions?

No, unfortunately at the current time we do not have capacity to accept any new commissions.

Can you design a custom pattern for me?

We work with select magazines, charities and companies on collaborations.  Unfortunately at this time we do not have capacity to design commissions for individuals.

Can I sell the work once it is complete?

Patterns may not be resold in any form and they may not be offered for free in any forum, such as a blog. Finished items may not be sold without our permission - please contact hello@trouvaillestitchkits.co.uk if you have any specific questions.  For more information about Copyright please see our Terms and Conditions.

What if I run out of thread?

All kits are provided with the exact amount needed (ie the amount we used to create the first copy) plus a little extra for errors.  We understand, however, that all stitchers stitch differently, and therefore if you run out of thread, please contact us using the contact form on the contact page letting us know your order number and the amount of thread you need.  We will then be able to get this posted to you free of charge.

What if I notice an error?

While we endeavour to ensure that all kits and patterns are free of errors on release, we are only human and acknowledge that we can make the odd mistake.  If you notice a genuine error please use the contact page to report it.  All those who report an error will be provided with a voucher code for 10% off. If you are the first to report it, you will be provided with a voucher code for 20% off! If the error affects your ability to complete your kit, you will be provided with corrected material.  By encouraging reporting of errors, we hope to compensate you for our error, while also ensuring that we are able to correct any errors quickly!

Are patterns printed on the fabric?

No, our patterns are provided on paper with plain fabric.  This is known as counted cross stitch.

Are patterns black and white or colour?

The patterns provided within the kits are black and white using symbols with colour only used to show straight/line/back stitching. If you purchase a kit and would prefer the colour pattern, please reply to your order confirmation email requesting a kit and I will email you a PDF colour pattern.

Those who purchase PDF downloadable patterns (not kits), receive both black and white, and colour versions of the pattern.
