With the twinkling lights, the smell of mulled wine (or cider if you're that way inclined... which personally I am!), and the festive tunes drifting through the air, the North East does Christmas Markets VERY well! Whether you're hunting for handmade gifts from local, independent creatives, planning cosy days out with the family in beautiful settings, or just love the magic of a winter market, 2025 has lots of fabulous options!

Newcastle Upon Tyne

There is also the opportunity for rides on the Heatherslaw Light Railway and vintage buses running between the sites. As a lover of classic vehicles I may have to venture up to this one myself!
